Popularly known as "Praia dos Tomates" (Tomato Beach) given the plants growing by one of the points of access, Rocha Baixinha Beach is a peaceful area in the far east of the long Falésia Beach and a favourite destination for many of Portugal's politicians. Very close to the Vilamoura Marina, one of the major points of attraction on the Algarve, this Beach is divided into two areas - West and East.
Its environmental quality has been consistently recognised by the annually achieved Blue Flag and was boosted in 2003 by gaining the ISO 14001 environmental certification of quality, following the application made by Lusotur, the entity managing the Vilamoura tourist resort.
