Monuments

The Church of Senhor do Mártir, or Church of the Martyrs, dates back to the first quarter of the 18th century, and the initiative for its construction is attributed to Father Miguel dos Santos, of Cabedo.

This church, in 18th century architectural style, with its baroque structure of cut angles, was made a Listed Building of Public Interest in 1996. Inside, the nave displays two masonry altars and two pulpits, but it is the chancel that stands out, with an altar in different shades of marble. Also notable are the rich Lisbon tiles painted in blue and white.
