Tucked away between the dunes of Piedade and close to Ponta de São Lourenço, Praínha is one of the few natural sandy beaches on Madeira Island. It delights visitors with its unique geological formations, whose importance has been recognised by the classification of this site as a geosite. 

To access this small bay, you need to walk about 100 metres, but it is well worth the effort as the beautiful landscape offers excellent conditions for enjoying a day at the beach, with amenities including a snack bar, showers and changing rooms.
