This museum is specially designed for all those who are interested in winemaking and who would like to get to know more about the history of wine production on the island of Pico.
The Landscape of the Pico Island Vineyard Culture was classified by UNESCO as World Heritage in 2004.
The Wine Museum is one of the branches of the Pico Regional Museum, which also includes the Whalers’ Museum in the town of Lajes and the Whaling Industry Museum in São Roque do Pico.
