Monte Barranco da Baía
The 'Monte Barranco da Baía', Holidays Cottages, is located in the 'Parque Natural da Costa Vicentina' in southwest Portugal. Visitors can enjoy the tranquility of the place and relax in the swimming pond after a day on the beach or coming back from trekking along the coast, two ways of enjoying Europe´s most protected coastline.
It is also an ideal stopover in 'Rota Vicentina', the new pedestrian route that passes nearby.
The two traditional style houses equipped with every comfort are within 2 km of the coastline, in a very quiet agricultural area with good accesses.
The houses are equipped with solar water heating systems. Sewage is treated by phyto-purification (reed beds) before being reused for irrigation. There is the possibility of separating garbage for recycling as well as compost for the vegetable garden.
Four miles north, the picturesque village of Odeceixe and to the south the town of Aljezur, built in the foothills of its Moorish castle, invite to experience the local cuisine.
