This concert by the Orquestra Metropolitana de Lisboa combines Vivaldi's The Four Seasons with Piazzolla's Four Seasons from Buenos Aires.

Like sunrise and sunset, the seasons of the year are always different, even more so when they are a source of inspiration for composers so distant in time and space. What would summers be like in the first half of the eighteenth century in Venice? And the springs in the sixties in Buenos Aires? This concert proposes an epic confrontation between two great musicians of different styles and eras, a confrontation of unpredictable but certainly complementary results.
