Based on the movie "Shrek", this musical tells the story of Shrek, an ogre who lives happily and alone in a swamp in the land Far Far Away.

But the peace of this ogre is threatened when Lord Farquaad dumps all the magical creatures in his kingdom in this place. To get rid of them, the ogre makes a deal with Farquaad, promising to get the only thing missing to make the kingdom complete: Princess Fiona. This is a politically incorrect princess, who lives imprisoned in a castle guarded by a dragon. Shrek, along with his friend Donkey, then set out on a mission to free her. But everything gets complicated when Shrek falls in love with Fiona.
