In the heart of Alentejo, the Nativity scene with life-size figures returns to the streets of the medieval village of Monsaraz, creating a unique and enchanting setting this festive season.

With more than 40 figures made of iron and net, covered in waterproofed cloths in pastel, old pink and lilac tones, and delicately carved ceramic faces and hands, the pieces come to life at night, thanks to lighting that highlights the beauty and detail of each sculpture.

The Nativity scene spreads through the streets of the village, leading visitors on an unforgettable route that culminates in Largo do Castelo, where the main set with the Virgin Mary, Saint Joseph and the Child Jesus is located. Along the way, you can meet characters such as the Magi, castle guard, shepherd, washerwoman, spinner, muleteer, among other figures that reflect the essence of local traditions.
