Events

Conceived by the Centre for Fine Arts, Brussels (Bozar), the Foundation Chantal Akerman and the Cinémathèque royale de Belgique (CINEMATEK), Brussels, and produced in collaboration with MAC/CCB, this exhibition traces the unique path of Belgian filmmaker, writer and artist Chantal Akerman (Brussels, 1950 – Paris, 2015).

The exhibition starts from the beginning of its activity, in Brussels, passing through the Mexican desert, from the first films to the last installations, made in 2015, presenting images of its productions and unpublished archival documents. It goes through the various stages of his career and revisits the years and places he went through and filmed, addressing media such as cinema, television, writing and installation.
