Carnival, one of the highlights in the village of Sesimbra, is back with its contagious joy. All over the county, you can hear the rhythms of samba, with costumes, plots, music and dance steps rehearsed to perfection.

The parades of the Samba Schools and Groups, which bring together hundreds of participants, are among the most elaborate in the country and are the main highlight of the program. This year the parades of the samba schools and axé groups have been improved and the traditions of the cegadas and burial of the cod are still maintained.
