Events

The Tasquinhas Fair, an event declared in 2006 of Interest for National Tourism, is the largest event in the municipality, attracting thousands of visitors over the 10 days. In 2025, in its 39th edition, it is scheduled between March 28 and April 6.
The entire gastronomic offer is ensured by the associative movement (and not by catering professionals), which guarantees the visitor a different experience, in a unique ethnographic environment, expressing the gastronomic flavor of the municipality of Rio Maior. It thus asserts itself as a traditional and social event, which supports local Associations and Collectivities, allowing them to raise funds for the various activities they develop throughout the year. It also has the presence of exhibitors from the business, handicrafts, confectionery and liqueurs areas.
