Events

For about three weeks, Matosinhos is animated with a variety of religious festivities and recreational, cultural and sports activities.

From the traditional stalls that sell a little bit of everything, to music bands that liven up the streets and the fire of puppets, there are many initiatives. Also noteworthy are the thousands of lamps that illuminate the party space and the Church of Bom Jesus de Matosinhos, the work of the architect Nasoni, from where the grandiose procession to Senhor do Padrão departs.
