Aqueducts of Portugal – Water and Heritage
Events
The photography exhibition "Aqueducts of Portugal – Water and Heritage", by Pedro Inácio, will be on display at the Rural and Wine Museum of the Municipality of Cartaxo, an initiative within the scope of World Water Day.
The 21 photographs that make up this exhibition are part of a photographic survey and inventory started in 2007, with the aim of creating an itinerary dedicated to ancient aqueducts, reflecting the heritage value of hydraulic structures, some of these world icons of architecture and hydraulic engineering. This exhibition highlights the importance of preserving and valuing these monuments, fundamental for the knowledge and study of the Cultural Heritage of Water.
