Caminha Medieval

Caminha Medieval
Events
This year's Caminha Medieval takes place between July 23 and 27, in a historical recreation of a medieval fair, with commerce, arts and crafts, entertainment, flavors and eating habits from the Middle Ages.
In medieval times, the "Pax Dei" (Peace of God) was based on the premise that a Christian could not kill or harm another Christian. It expressly forbade plundering, robbery, acts of violence against the population and sought to exclude the defenseless from involvement in wars. During wartime, it played an important role in the development of the medieval code of chivalry.
