From June 27 to 29, 2025, the Barnacle Festival will take place in Vila do Bispo, Algarve. The event celebrates one of the region's greatest gastronomic delicacies, the barnacles, attracting tourists from all over the country and from other nationalities.

During the Festival, visitors have the opportunity to taste a variety of seafood dishes, with the highlight being the barnacles, a type of crustacean typical of the region, harvested in local waters, which makes it especially tasty. In addition to the cuisine, there are musical shows and an exhibitors' area for showing and selling various types of products/services. The event is an excellent opportunity to learn a little more about the region's culture and traditions, and to enjoy the beauty that the entire Vila do Bispo municipality offers.
