Gisela João reveals her restlessness in an album in which she pays homage to those who, half a century ago, were able to sing freedom, helping to transform the country. Her approach to this much-celebrated songbook, however, has original arrangements, showing her, once again, to create art in a distinctive way.

From the fado houses of Barcelos to Oporto and from there to Lisbon and the various awards that have rightly honored her, she is today one of the great names in Portuguese music. On her new album "Inquieta", she sings José Afonso, Sérgio Godinho through Capicua, José Mário Branco and Lopes Graça, translating the dreams and longings of a generation that had to fight for us to get here into this present day in need of freedom. But above all, she shows us his voice as perhaps we've never heard it before.
