The Maia Folk Festival, as its name suggests, is a festival of traditional music from around the world, held annually in July on the island of Santa Maria in the Azores. The event is promoted by the association "Os Amigos da Maia" (Friends of Maia), with the support of the Vila do Porto Municipal Council, the Regional Directorate for Tourism and the Regional Directorate for Culture.
