Events

The Municipality of Almeida is once again organizing the largest historical re-enactment of the Napoleonic period in the country! The event will take place in August and allows visitors to learn a little more about the 3rd French Invasion and its impact on this town in the interior of Portugal, near the border with Spain.

These will be educational days, but they will also include lots of entertainment, history and Napoleonic re-enactments in the streets of the Almeida Fortress, where you can watch the Night Battle of the Siege of Almeida from the stands. There will also be musical shows with some well-known names from the Portuguese music scene.
