Curated by MARQUISE, an independent exhibition project founded in 2017, this exhibition brings together works that signal a peculiar paradox: they were produced by artists who, in their different approaches to refusal and reproduction, inevitably end up generating new forms. The works are simultaneously fugitive and adhesive, clinging to the elusive contours of their predecessors while carrying with them the traces of their departure, the result being less a response than an echo.
