In September, Elvas celebrates the Lord Jesus da Piedade, an event that attracts thousands of people every year.

There will be several leisure areas: a business and exhibition area (Praça da Feira), a gastronomy area (restaurants, street food and meeting points) and a recreational and cultural area (shows), one of the highlights of which is the São Mateus pilgrimage – which is two to three kilometers long – and attracts people from across the border. As in previous years, there will be plenty of entertainment, music and many other surprises!
