Events

The Vieira do Minho County Festivities, known as Flea Market, fill the local streets on the first weekend of October. Its name dates back to the days when villagers would walk to the fair using a fork-shaped stick that they would use along the way to "steal" grapes from the trellises. This stick was named "ladra", which gave rise to the name "Feira da Ladra" (Flea Market).

It offers a vast program of activities, from musical and pyrotechnic shows to folklore, amusements, equestrian competitions, exhibitions and livestock competitions, not forgetting the food stalls and the traditional Local Products Fair.
