The Full Protein Caldas da Rainha Ladies Open, the biggest women's tennis competition in Portugal, takes place between September 14 and 21. Part of the WTA (Women's Tennis Association) calendar in the 125 category, it brings together tennis players from more than 25 nationalities, ranked between 50 and 140 in the world. It is one of the biggest competitions on the women's professional tennis circuit in the world.

The event takes place at the Caldas da Rainha Municipal Tennis Complex, with logistical support at the Badminton High Performance Center. Along with the world stars of the sport, the main Portuguese tennis players are also taking part, with "Wild Cards" granted by the Portuguese Tennis Federation.
