The event takes place simultaneously in Lisbon and Madrid, proposing an Iberian journey that challenges the boundaries between geographical territories, cultures, imaginaries and artistic practices. The event is one of the most representative of the Iberian art scene, incorporating various artistic areas – performing arts, visual arts, music and cinema – and more than 25 cultural institutions in Lisbon and Madrid – theaters, museums, cultural centers, cinemas and heritage spaces. In this cultural and geographical reconfiguration that transcends borders, it builds a unique and plural stage that reflects the voices of the artistic and cultural fabric of both countries, fostering contemporary creation in an international context.

By inviting artists from diverse backgrounds to risk new collaborations and formats, dialogues with communities and displacements between artistic territories, BoCA embraces the encounter with the "other" as a political and artistic practice of alterity.
