The Soares dos Reis National Museum is presenting the exhibition "Afinidades na Cerâmica Contemporânea" (Affinities in Contemporary Ceramics), which brings together 39 pieces inspired by the painting Still Life (1645) by Pieter Claesz, which belongs to its collection. It is part of the second edition of the Afinidades program. Curated by Vítor Reis, the 2025 edition proposes new readings of contemporary ceramics, through works by artists represented by stores and galleries in the Bombarda Quarter. The proposals submitted to the competition will be on display until November 29, when the winner will be revealed.

The Afinidades program promotes links between the museum and the local community, encouraging interdisciplinary dialogue and stimulating artistic innovation. With five editions planned, the cycle includes exhibitions, workshops and talks that explore meeting points between the MNSR's collection and the creativity of the Bombarda Quarter.
