In December, the "Sintra Mágica- Once upon a magical Christmas" program begins with the simultaneous switching on of the lights at the National Palace of Sintra, Pena Palace, Queluz Palace and Quinta da Regaleira. This symbolic moment creates an unprecedented light connection between four of Sintra's icons. The great novelty is the full illumination of the Palace of Pena, which can be visited free of charge for ten nights, transforming it into a romantic beacon visible for miles around. In the grounds of the National Palace of Sintra, the space takes on a festive atmosphere with a carousel, Christmas tree, activities and a video mapping show that transforms the Palace into "the biggest Christmas factory".

The program runs through December with illuminations, animations, concerts, exhibitions and initiatives at various monuments, and continues until January 6.
