The Festivities of São Gonçalo de Amarante, also known as June Festivities, are celebrated annually in the beautiful city of Amarante, combining tradition, religion, and popular culture.

These festivities take place on the first weekend of June, when the city becomes the stage for street parades, drumming competitions, performances by folk groups and bands, popular marches, traditional music, a livestock competition featuring native breeds, a musical fireworks display, the traditional procession in honor of the patron saint, São Gonçalo, the throwing of carnations, and the Alameda Fest.
