Events

Escritaria is an annual literary festival in Penafiel which, in each edition, pays tribute to the life and work of a Portuguese-language author. For this year's edition, Maria do Rosário Pedreira, an outstanding Portuguese poet, novelist, chronicler, translator and editor, was chosen.

From October 20 to 26, Penafiel will be transformed and will host an event full of activities for all ages and interests, including interviews and gatherings, conferences, music and dance, street theater, urban and public art, exhibitions and more.
